Women's Professional Development Group |
|
In the 1990’s, the Firm’s number of women clients and attorneys was flourishing. In response to this growing trend, the Firm formed the Women’s Professional Development Group (WPDG) to bolster client relationships and to provide an internal structure for the development of the firm’s women attorneys.
The WPDG offers educational seminars on business topics and women’s issues and hosts social networking events, providing clients and friends of the firm the opportunity to meet, develop new business relationships and benefit from one another’s individual experience.
Internally, the Group is focused on providing a forum for the firm’s women attorneys for open candid discussion of issues facing professional women. The group is also dedicated in providing quality mentoring and training for the firm’s women associates. Members of the group reach across all disciplines including women attorneys and administrators.
The group is very active in the community; many of our members have participated in leadership Cincinnati and serve on boards such as the American Cancer Society, Cincinnati Area Senior Services, Cincinnati Bar Association, Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and the Zoological Society of Cincinnati. Our members have also volunteered to assist on various political campaigns and other community service projects.
The Firm’s establishment and continued support of the Women’s Professional Development Group is just one example of the firm’s on-going commitment to diversity and to the service of its clients.
